DIY Bath Salts

Bath salts are one the easiest DIY herbal products you can make.

They only take three ingredients, and that is including the optional ingredient!  What essential oil you use is up to you, but here are some suggestions:

Rosemary: This herb is one of my favorites! It is invigorating, anti depressant(great for those cold, dark winter months)and boosts memory.

Lavender: Relaxing,  anxiety and stress reliever, and smells great!

Lemon Balm: Soothing, eases a headache, and promotes concentration.

A note of caution: There are some essential oils that you must be careful with such as Cinnamon, Clove, Lemongrass, Oregano, and Thyme (In other words, maybe not in your bath).  Remember, essential oils are powerful, and you need to be careful!

So, onto the fun part!

Recipe for DIY Bath Salts

1/2 cup epsom salts

1 tablespoon dried herbs ( optional)

5 drops essential oils of choice

Put all ingredients into a bowl and whisk together until well combined.

Store in a small jar until ready to use.

To use: Dump the salts into bath water and swirl the water to dissolve. If you used the dried herb, you can also put the salts into an old sock and tie off the top. Then, just let the sock float around and the salt will dissolve into the water.
